HOW TO USE THE CREATIVE STORIES AND DRAMATIZATIONS:
With each dramatic story, exaggerate by tone and facial expressions.
Put your hand over the student's hand and point to the letter, or letters, that the drama emphasizes
Use the letters supplied as manipulatives. Otherwise make or purchase your own.
At no time should the student be allowed to have wandering eyes, or mind, during the time of the storytelling.
STORIES AND DRAMATIZATIONS OF ALPHABET LETTER NAMES:
Using dramatic exaggeration, relate the following stories as the student points to the letters emphasized.
Peeee-ople just love pizza! (Say peeeeeet-sa!) Pete (Peeeeeete) loves Pizza too. Pete cuts his pizza into six pieces (say peeee sez) because he wants to share. Peeeeee-ople love Pete!
Q is a cutie pie! (Exaggerate cu!) Cutie Pie Q loves to fly. Cutie Pie Q is a bird. (Make flying motions with your arms!) Fly Cutie Pie Q! Fly into my hand, and eat some seed.
R R R R you all right? (Act like you have a headache.) R R you hungry! (Pretend to be famished.) R you tired? (Yawn!)
