Dear Supervisor,

Following is the test for SCHEDULE B which follows lessons four and five of Step One. READ ALL OF THIS FIRST AND DO NOT SHOW THIS PAGE TO YOUR STUDENT!

Below you will find the Alphabet written for you, the supervisor. The Alphabet is for your reference only as you VERBALLY ask the questions which you will find below.

Please send me the questions with your written answers telling me how your student is progressing.

Please record any alphabetic letters that are said in improper order and tell me how much time it took your student to do this. ==Do NOT let your student see this email!== Please read the questions just as they are written down. Please do not offer any help. If the student fails to complete a question then make a notation of that for me. Thank you. Most of this is a verbal test and I expect you to give this test from beginning to end in one sitting with no breaks.

In question number 14, please write down exactly, word from word, what your student tells you.

(4) Did the question seem EASY or DIFFICULT for your student? (5) What was your STARTING TIME for part of this entire test? (6) What was your ENDING TIME for each part of this entire test?

PLEASE GIVE THE FOLLOWING TEST DIRECTIONS TO YOUR STUDENT. RECORD THE ABOVE REQUESTED INFORMATION FOR ME.

1. Say the Alphabet A to Z as fast as you can, without error, and then immediately turn around and say the Alphabet backwards from Z to A as fast as you can without error. When finished, start over. Do this twice without stopping. See if you can do it without any hesitation on your part.

2. Say the Alphabet beginning with A, replacing every other letter with a word which begins with the letter you are replacing. In other words, say A. Say Best. Say C. Say Can... etc. SUPERVISOR, please give me a written list of the words your student says.

3. Say the Alphabet beginning with A, replacing every other letter with a word which ends with the letter you are replacing. In other words, say A. Say Fib. Say C. Say Tic... etc.

***SUPERVISOR, please give me a written list of the words your student says.

AND record the following information: TIME... ERRORS... TASK COMPLETED?... EASY or DIFFICULT?... STARTING TIME... ENDING TIME***

4. Say the Alphabet backwards beginning with Z, skipping every two letters. In other words, say Z. Do not say Y. Do not say X. Say W. Do not say V. Do not say U. Say T, etc.

***SUPERVISOR, record the following information: TIME... ERRORS... TASK COMPLETED?... EASY or DIFFICULT?... STARTING TIME... ENDING TIME***

5. Say the Alphabet backwards beginning with M and skip every other letter. In other words, say M. Do not say L. Say K. Do not say I, etc.

***SUPERVISOR, record the following information: TIME... ERRORS... TASK COMPLETED?... EASY or DIFFICULT?... STARTING TIME... ENDING TIME***

6. Ask your student to say the Alphabet backwards beginning with R and skipping every other letter. In other words, say R. Do not say Q. Say P. Do not say O, etc.

***SUPERVISOR, record the following information: TIME... ERRORS... TASK COMPLETED?... EASY or DIFFICULT?... STARTING TIME... ENDING TIME***

7. Ask your student to say the Alphabet beginning with O and skipping every other letter. In other words, say O. Do not say P. Say Q. Do not say R, etc.

***SUPERVISOR, record the following information: TIME... ERRORS... TASK COMPLETED?... EASY or DIFFICULT?... STARTING TIME... ENDING TIME***

8. Say the Alphabet beginning with A and skipping every three letters. In other words, say A. Do not say B. Do not say C. Do not say D. Say E. Do not say F. Do not say G. Do not say H. Say I. etc.

***SUPERVISOR, record the following information: TIME... ERRORS... TASK COMPLETED?... EASY or DIFFICULT?... STARTING TIME... ENDING TIME***

9. Say the Alphabet backwards beginning with Z, skipping every two letters and saying every third letter twice. In other words, say Z. Do not say Y. Do not say X. Say W. Say W again. Do not say V. Do not say U. Say T. Say T again. etc.

***SUPERVISOR, record the following information: TIME... ERRORS... TASK COMPLETED?... EASY or DIFFICULT?... STARTING TIME... ENDING TIME***

10. Say the Alphabet beginning with K and skipping every fifth letter. In other words, say O. Do not say P. Do not say Q. Do not say R, Do not say S. Say T. Do not say U, etc.

***SUPERVISOR, record the following information: TIME... ERRORS... TASK COMPLETED?... EASY or DIFFICULT?... STARTING TIME... ENDING TIME***

11. Can you sing the Alphabet songs?

***SUPERVISOR, please give me an idea of how fast and accurately the songs are sung.

AND record the following information: TIME... ERRORS... TASK COMPLETED?... EASY or DIFFICULT?... STARTING TIME... ENDING TIME***

12. Look in a magazine or newspaper to a display ad. Write the name of the business, the type of business it is and its promotion. Remember to write it something like this: The Backyard Cafe, barbecued steaks, tender, juicy, lowest price, quality meal.

***SUPERVISOR, please give me a copy of the words your student writes down.

AND record the following information: TIME... ERRORS... TASK COMPLETED?... EASY or DIFFICULT?... STARTING TIME... ENDING TIME***

13. Now write the basics for your own promotional ad. You can make up the business name/type/promotion.

14. Please tell me in ten to fifteen words what challenges you discovered in lessons four and five that you did not discover in the first three lessons.
