Dear Supervisor,

Below you will find the test which follows lesson four and five of Step One.

Please number down from one through seven. Then write the answer your student tells you by each number. Do not correct your student's answers when he or she takes the test.

Say the following words and ask your student to tell you which words have the sound of the letter name of Aa:
Example: ankle arrow play hair
Answer: ankle play

Slowly pronounce the words. Make sure that you say them correctly and accurately. Check the words in the dictionary if you are not sure.

If you cannot say these words, ask a teacher in a nearby school to help you.

The student should be instructed to LISTEN CAREFULLY before responding. The sounds the student is listening for will NOT ALWAYS be found in the same location of each word.

5. Say the following words and ask your student to tell you which words have the SOUND of the letter NAME of Nn:

6. Say the following words and ask your student to tell you which words have the SOUND of the letter NAME of Oo:

7. Say the following words and ask your student to tell you which words have the SOUNDS of the letter NAMES of a through i: Put the words in Alphabetical order ACCORDING TO THE SOUNDS OF THEIR NAMES. Notice: there is only ONE correct answer for each word.
