NAME THE LETTERS OR LETTER COMBINATIONS IN YOUR LESSON PLANS

NAME THEM

When you NAME alphabetic letter combinations that means you say the NAME of each individual letter as its name occurs in the alphabet when you say your ABC's.

It's the same thing as when your lesson plans tell you to SPELL a letter or letter combination.

Ask your students to name each letter after you and to point to the letter or letters displayed as they name the letters.

You might want to be dramatic and name the letters in different pitches. You or your students may want to echo the letters named.

You may want to grunt like a pig after naming certain letters. You may want to hop on one foot after naming others. As the teacher you should do the hopping too if you are physically able to hop because it will inspire your students. They will want to be like you. They will enjoy doing it with you. They will want to learn. Use your imagination and make it fun for all of you!
