Day Two (1 1/2 hours)
Twenty minutes: Review digraphs
sh, ch, tch, th, ck, wh, gh, gn, kn, ph. Classify! Spell! Sound!
Introduce vowel combinations: ee, ea, ai, ay, oa. Identify,
define, and learn the rule!
Two vowels go walking and the first one does all the talking!
Two vowels walk. The long vowel talks!
Two vowels together? The second vowel is under the weather. He's silent!
Twenty minutes: Work on correct letter formation of digraphs, blends, and vowel combinations: sh, ch, tch, th, ck, wh, gh, gn, kn, ph, and br, cr, dr, fr, gr, tr, str, sn, sp, st, sw, sm, tw, bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, sl, and ee, ea, ai, ay, oa. Writing can be fun
Twenty minutes: Review all the sounds of the alphabet including digraphs, blends, and vowel combinations by flash cards. Keep making more flash cards as you need them. Eventually, you will have quite a pile. Hear the Sounds
Take dictation of words with digraphs, blends, and vowel
Twenty minutes: Practice letter formation of digraphs, blends, and vowel combinations. Say and write! Writing can be fun
Ten minutes: Fill the Wagon
