SECOND: Plan your preparation time. You should read through all you see on this page before beginning to teach Step Two.

Step Two was originally written for teachers. Since you probably are not a teacher, you should read all of the program before you teach your student as you will find the plans in Step Two to be quite different from what you are used to following in Step One. You will want to present these lessons correctly so your student will learn. You do not want your student to form bad habits in speech that will be difficult to break in later life, if not impossible. You will do fine if you follow the instructions carefully and do not skip any part of the lessons.

PREPARE AHEAD OF TIME:

Below are some teaching methods and terminology needed for teaching the lessons in Step Two. Become familiar with the instructions and terms so you will quickly remember what they mean when you come across directions in the lessons:
Introduce them Identify them Classify them Drill them Name them Review them Writing can be fun Rules to know
Games Glossary Moon Talk Dictation TEST instructions Make flashcards Full glossary

Take a week to look over Step Two and become familiar with its content and teaching methods. Review "Read with Janae" this week before presenting the first lesson.

You should review this with your student before you teach the first lesson of Step Two:

You will find the following in the lessons of Step Two. However, you might want to take a look at them now so you are familiar with what you will be teaching and how you will be teaching it.

THIRD: Begin teaching your student. Here is your first lesson plan for the first day of the first week! There are sixteen lesson plans all together which cover four weeks, four days per week:

YOUR FIRST LESSON PLAN:

Below is your first lesson plan complete with the activities and exercises you will need to complete your lesson plans for the first day of the first week. This is given to you here for you to see as a sample of how all the lessons work together.

One-Four

If your student seems to need more review, please do not stay on the same lesson or go back over it in order to review the material. Each lesson reviews all the material as you teach it. Therefore, please teach the lessons in sequential order for the four weeks. When you have finished all sixteen lessons and the tests which follow, then you may begin again if review is needed.

NOW LOOK BELOW FOR ALL THE LESSON PLANS:

FOURTH: Now follow all the lesson plans for Step One. You will find them below:
